AIRBUS ‘LITTLE ENGINEER’ WORKSHOP

The first AIRBUS Little Engineer workshop took place on Friday, 22nd September 2017. The students were acquainted with the A380 Airplane covering its development from the manufacturing phase to its final assembly.

The learners assembled a loader to collect aeroplane parts from four different countries in order to be assembled in Toulouse. They were introduced to basic programming to manage the motion of the loader and eventually assembled the parts of the A380 that were collected.

In the second part of the activity, the learners programmed the aeroplane using the line-following technique, to taxi and park next to its pre-assigned gate. We are honoured to be the first girls’ school in Nigeria to partner with Airbus Foundation and Bricks4kidz on this project.

The 2nd and third batches of students will attend the workshops on Thursday, 28th September and Thursday, 5th October respectively. We have a few more slots available for the workshops and we encourage you to send in your daughter’s consent form if you have not done so already.
