Dear parents
Welcome to another week at Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls.
ACADEMICS:
The test and homework timetables for the session have been emailed to all parents.
The 1st term curriculum outlines for the Junior Secondary school have also been sent out through email. The curriculum outlines for the Senior school will be sent by this week.
SAFETY:
School Angel, our safety solutions provider, will be resuming operations on Monday, 26th September 2016. All new parents are requested to register with them.
EXCURSION:
JSS1 parents are encouraged to sign up for the excursion to Badagry, which will take place on Monday, 10th October 2016. Please contact the school office.
SCHOOL RESUMPTION AND CLOSING:
All day students are required to be in school at 7.30 am everyday. The school gates will be closed at 8.00 am.
Day students should be picked up at 4 pm. Due to security concerns, the school gates will be closed at 6 pm. If your child is not picked up by then, she will be accommodated that night in the hostel, for a fee.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Keeping in mind the holistic development of our students, we require them to take part in club activities which take place between 3.25pm and 4.30pm every Friday.
On Friday, 30th September 2016,each club will be showcasing its activities, giving the students an opportunity to sign up for the club of their choice. We welcome parents to participate in this activity, between 3.25pm and 4.30pm.
WE CELEBRATE:
Tomisin Ogunnubi, a JSS3 student, developed an Android Application called “My Locator”, which is available for free download in the Google Playstore.

EVENTS:
*10 students of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for girls attended the 3rd Annual GAMALIEL & SUSAN ONOSODE FOUNDATION LECTURE themed “Finding solutions to the problems of the Nigerian education system : A multi-stakeholder approach” at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island on 22nd September 2016.
*20 students from Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls attended the Annual College and Career Fair organised by EducationUSA of the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General Lagos which took place at Chrisland School, Opebi.
