OUR CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We believe that our girls should have the opportunity to learn, not only in the classroom but also by making use of the beautiful environment in which we live. The students are therefore encouraged to participate in at least one variety of co-curricular activity aimed at good interaction as well as preparing them for leadership roles.

Some of the clubs available in the school are Robotics, The Girls’ Guide, Red Cross, Choir, Literary and Debating, JETS, Chess, Drama, Press, Knitting and Homemakers. To achieve our objective of all-round development and to broaden our students’ horizon, excursions and study visits are periodically organised to various places of historical or educational significance either within the country or beyond.

Robotics Club

To keep up with the fast-paced growth and innovations in technology and to promote STEM education, we launched our Robotics Club in 2017. We won Gold in the Roboethics debate at RoboRAVE International 2018 held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.

We were also the first girl’s school in Nigeria to partner with the Airbus Foundation on the Airbus Little Engineers ‘A380 Assembly’ workshops which gave our students the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the A380 aeroplane, covering its development from the manufacturing of parts in different countries to its final assembly in Toulouse or Hamburg.
